Keeping Puget Sound Strong: A Regional Plan for Jobs and Opportunity
The regional plan examines Puget Sound’s economic strengths, the warning signs that our competitive position is weakening, and the conditions affecting businesses’ decisions to start, stay, invest, and grow here. It presents seven goals and 20 practical recommendations focused on regional partnership, business customer service, tax competitiveness, effective regulation, permitting, workforce development, and the industries that will drive future growth.
Building a Culture of Partnership: A Playbook for Puget Sound Mayors
Developed in partnership with mayors across Puget Sound, this playbook helps mayors build a stronger culture of partnership with business. It offers questions to consider, examples from local cities, and perspectives from fellow mayors on strengthening business relationships, aligning City Hall around customer service and practical problem-solving, and working with regional partners to improve economic competitiveness.
